  • pi-tag members can tag their bags, keys, mobile telephone, pet and other items in one of two ways :
    • By using their registered pi-tag ID.
    • By using a pi-tag E-Tag.
  • E-Tags must be registered to a pi-tag account after purchase.

Finding your Lost Item

  • pi-tag.com helps make getting your lost pi-tagged item back as easy as possible.
  • Once you've realised that your tagged item has gone missing, you can log onto any computer, worldwide and enter any helpful contact information.  If you're staying at a hotel abroad, for instance, you could enter the hotel's telephone number.
  • When someone finds your lost item, they can either click onto pi-tag.com or telephone our Automated Telephone Contact Service.
  • If they decide to click onto pi-tag.com, they will be quickly directed to our simple, 'Found a Lost Item' page.  In order to give you the best chance of getting your lost item back, these pages are available in up to 5 languages - English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
  • Once they have entered the pi-tag number displayed on the tag, they will be shown any additional contact information that you have entered.  This could be your hotel telephone number, your work address or a mobile telephone number.
  • Having viewed any additional contact information, finders will then be able to send a message to you - either by SMS text (if you have a mobile telephone number registered to your account) or by email.  Finders will NOT be shown your mobile telephone or Email address at any point.
  • When someone rings our Automated Telephone Contact Service, they will be able to enter the pi-tag number found on the tag using their telephone keypad.  Additional contact information will then be read out over the telephone using an advanced text-to-speech engine.  The caller's message will then be recorded and emailed to your registered email address.
  • Wherever you are, worldwide, you need only log onto your email account, or switch on your mobile telephone to get your lost item back.  Recorded telephone messages are emailed to your email account as a .wav attachment.  If you are unable to listen to this message by computer, you can ring our Automated Telephone Contact Servce to collect the message by telephone.
